Letter from Marilyn – April 2008

MarilynDear Reader,

This issue of Natural News is packed full of some very interesting articles including using the mind to help you lose weight.  The mind and body are very much interlinked and it is possible to create either a negative cycle between the mind and body or a positive one.  So there are tips in this Natural News to use your mind to help with weight loss.

Also featured is an article on headaches and migraines because they can be so debilitating and effect the quality of your life.  This article looks at tracking down the food triggers because if certain foods are contributing to the number of attacks, then at least you may be able to control some of them.

In January 2008, a report was issued by the Cabinet Office which estimated that 42,200 deaths a year could be saved if we ate more fruit and vegetables. In the UK we are advised to eat five a day fruit and veg and only just about half of us manage to achieve that each day.  But I thought you might be interested to know the recommendations in other countries.  In Denmark it is six a day and in Australia seven broken down into five portions of veg and two of fruit, In France it is ten, in Canada five to ten, in the US five to thirteen, and in Japan a staggering seventeen portions a day (thirteen of vegetables and four of fruit).

So as you go shopping over this month, see if you can include more fruit and vegetables into your diet.

Kind regards

Marilyn-sig
